June is Italian Heritage Month in the City of Vancouver and it’s headlined by the annual Italian Day on the Drive. Taking place Sunday, June 9 from 12pm to 8pm, Italian Day is a vibrant cultural street festival that celebrates the best of Italian culture, heritage and community.
This year, across 14 city blocks, attendees can enjoy good food, good music and plenty of community spirit. The event includes over 120 street participants, comprised of partners, vendors and community organizations, alongside 300,000 enthusiastic attendees.
This Year’s Attractions
Lively music will form the backdrop to this year’s festivities with local Italo-Canadian artists and international special guests taking to the three main stages located in Grandview Park, 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. There will also be pop-up performers, as well as designated DJ areas and Latin dance lessons. It also wouldn’t be an Italian party without the food! The festival will be stacked with food trucks and 15 extended patios on which to sit down with a refreshing beverage.
